Technical
GPI is committed to bringing the future of pipe to the US building industry. In order to make specifying, certifying and approving the use of GPI products easier for new construction and remodeling projects, we’ve assembled a number of technical documents. If you don’t see the information you need below, please contact a GPI representative.

Application extensions
Aqutherm FS – enhanced fire safety
For applications where the code requires pipe to meet an FSI of 25 and SDI of 50 Aquatherm has developed and tested several solutions. The Aquatherm-Greenpipe FS and Climatherm® FS systems are coated with a flame resistant layer.
A key feature of the fusiolen ®PP-R (80) compound is that it contains no PVC polyvinyl chloride (CPVC), which is toxic when burned. Even in a fully developed fire, Aquatherm pipe systems produce nothing more than CO2 and H2O gas, posing no danger to building occupants or fire fighters.
For more information about Aquatherm FS, contact your local GPI representative.
Aquatherm Advanced – protection and insulation
When an additional level of application is needed for plenum rating, GreenPipe offers the Aquatherm Advanced system which can be applied to both Aquatherm-Greenpipe and Climatherm systems. Advanced systems feature an insulated wrap called Refletix that extends the protection level for installations that require additional fire protection, vapor barrier, and thermal insulation.
For more information about the Aquatherm Advanced system, contact your local GPI representative.
