Pure Green
Aquatherm products are different from other plastic pipes because they are manufactured from pure polypropylene. This environmentally friendly raw material, known as fusiolen® PP-R (80), is the basic building block for all the pipes we sell. Natural additives, such a color pigments and stabilizers, make up less than 3% of fusiolen® and are extensively tested to ensure environmental compatibility.
The environmentally-friendly polypropylene material fusiolen®PP-R (80) is opaque, preventing microbiological growth in the pipe. It is recyclable and can be ground, melted, and reused in applications such as motor protections, wheel linings, laundry baskets and more. There are no harmful waste products created by the processing or disposal of polypropylene.

Sustainable building pays off
Unlike many green products, GPI products are more cost-effective than copper and steel. Specifying our products as part of your LEED certification process can earn LEED credits for your project without costing you more.
From maximizing pumping energy due to lower friction rates to drastically reducing or eliminating VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) caused by PVC welding, CPVC welding, plastic cement welding and adhesive primers for plastic, the benefits of specifying GPI products go well-beyond the recycling.

Environmental responsibility in the piping industry
GPI believes that the environmental and human impact of any product that is installed in homes, offices and other facilities should be taken into consideration when projects are being planned. That’s why we are proud members of the US Green Building Council.
